Mr Mallorie has travelled the World to study the fine art of quality dental surgery on three continents. After completing undergraduate studies here in beautiful Wales (during which time he was awarded the Oral Surgery prize) he then completed further study at the Royal College of Surgeons, London. Following on from that Mr Mallorie spent some years working as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Senior House Officer in Wales involving many hours of oral surgery training and experience as well as being involved in teaching dental students how to remove complex wisdom teeth.

 

From there Mr Mallorie moved to Australia where he worked in the beautiful city of Melbourne in private practice. During his time there he dipped across the pond to California, USA where he completed a one-year Master Implant Clinician Program through the University of California Los Angeles and the Global Institute for Dental Education. Mr Mallorie finished the course as top student amongst the international intake of 150 Master Clinician’s. Following on from this, and thirsty for more study, he went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Dental Implants from Sydney University with distinction whilst also maintaining busy private practice in Melbourne.

 

Mr Mallorie has presented/lectured in the field of oral surgery and dental implants in China, The Netherlands, USA, Australia and here in the UK. Whilst in Australia he was appointed Director of the Melbourne gIDE Master Implant Clinician Study Club from 2011-2014. He has also found time over the years to publish research papers in well-respected academic journals such as the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Angle Orthodontist.

 

Upon his return to the UK Mr Mallorie completed postgraduate training in Dental Sedation at the prestigious King's College London. Following completion of this degree Mr Mallorie worked on Harley Street in London which is arguably the most World-renowned medical district. The practice he worked at was the longest-established private dental surgery in the UK and working within its walls enabled him to continue to provide high quality care for his patients. During his time in London Mr Mallorie spent one day every week working as a Clinical Teacher in Oral Surgery at the World Class training facility King's College Hospital Oral Surgery Department. Here he spent his time teaching budding dental surgeons oral surgery and dental sedation skills. Also during his time in London Mr Mallorie completed his Masters in Oral Surgery.

Mr Mallorie has been placing dental implants since 2006 with current success rates in excess of 99-percent so you can rest assured you are in great hands.

 

Safe to say Mr Mallorie is well versed and experienced in dealing with all manner of dental implant cases from a single missing tooth replacement to a total smile rehabilitation with techniques such as “All-on-4”, "All-on-X" and "Teeth-in-a-day". In addition, he is also highly skilled at removing wisdom teeth, no matter how impacted they are, using techniques he has learned over the years to help ensure the treatment is as comfortable for his patients as possible.

Mr Mallorie spends one day of his week working as an Honoury Clinical Lecturer at Cardiff University's Dental Hospital teaching oral surgery skills to both dental students and junior dental surgeons. The rest of his time is spent devoted to providing oral surgery and dental implant treatments at the centre.

Patient safety is something Mr Mallorie is very passionate about so as well as having undergone Advanced Life Support training, Mr Mallorie is a certified Basic Life Support trainer/assesser. This means that he regularly takes time out to teach and assess local healthcare workers these life saving skills in case they should need them in an emergency situation.

 

Mr Mallorie is an active member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons, the European Association of Dental Implantologists and the Global Institute for Dental Education. Whilst in London he was appointed as the London regional representative for the British Association of Oral Surgeons (BAOS). During his time back in South Wales he has held the position of the regional representative for the BAOS for Wales. Mr Mallorie is also an External Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, London which involves writing exam questions and adjudicating for national dental surgery exams.

A testament to his international recognition in the field of dental implants, he was invited to be a Guest Faculty member on the Implant Diploma for the Australasian College of Dental Practitioners alongside a select group of World-renowned implant surgeons from all across the globe. His role as part of the faculty is sharing his experience and knowledge with the next generation of implant surgeons via lectures and online learning platforms. He is also an appointed International Key Opinion Leader for the highly regarded German surgical instrument manufacturer Meisinger.

​

Away from the surgery Mr Mallorie also likes a challenge and over the years he has completed events such as the Tough Mudder in Australia, Tough Guy in England, The Mighty Deer Stalker in Scotland, and The World Bog Snorkeling Championships here in Wales. He loves nothing more than being out hiking in the beautiful Brecon Beacons.
