Dr Mills graduated as a dental surgeon from Cardiff University in 2002, where he was awarded the Wystan Peach Prize in Conservative Dentistry and the Louis Cohen Prize in Anatomy.

Before pursuing dentistry, Dr Mills earned an Honours degree in Engineering, with a particular focus on materials science. This interest has continued to influence his approach to modern dentistry, particularly when working in the field of dental implants which have a huge amount of engineering applied in their research and development.

​

Throughout his career in South Wales, Dr Mills has earned a reputation for excellence, building a loyal patient base. His passion for dental implants began in 2006 when he embarked on training in this field alongside reputable implant clinicians. This early experience allowed him to develop expertise in restoring dental implants for single-unit cases and short-span bridgework.

Eager to expand his skills, Dr Mills completed the Stepwise Dental Implant Training Program at Cardiff University in 2008 gaining knowledge in both the academic and practical elements of dental implant treatment provision and patient care. With this additional training, he integrated the restoration of dental implants into his own practice, transforming the smiles and confidence of hundreds of patients. In recent years, he has moved away from general dental practice and worked closely with Oral Surgeons, focusing specifically on the planning and restorative stages of treatment ranging from single-implant through to full arch implant cases.

With nearly two-decades of hands-on experience and a commitment to continuous learning, Dr Mills remains at the forefront of modern implant dentistry, delivering exceptional care tailored to each patient’s needs. He has a true professional passion for providing cosmetic and implant dentistry which is evident from the quality of his work.

Dr Mills is known by patients and colleagues alike for his meticulous and compassionate approach to dentistry. He is continually pushing the envelope in this field with a thirst for gaining as much knowledge possible by attending regular courses from World-Class academic institutions such as the Royal College of Surgeons. He strongly believes in a collaborative, team-based approach to ensure the best outcomes for his patients.

 

Outside of his professional life, Dr Mills leads an active lifestyle, enjoying time with his family and dog hiking the beautiful Welsh countryside.
