Soft Tissue Lump Removal

Lumps can appear in the mouth for many different reasons, but usually due to a history of trauma to the site, such as lip biting. These lumps can become annoying for patients so removal of them is sensible. Plus it is good to have a diagnosis as to what the lump is from a pathologist. Removal is relatively straightforward and usually performed with local anaesthetic. The specimen is then sent to a pathologist who will examine it under a microscope and give us a definitive diagnosis as to what type of lump it is.

Our peaceful and relaxed environment here at the centre will allow you to have your surgery in as comfortable an environment as possible. You can lay back and watch a movie on our ceiling-mounted screens tucked in with a warm blanket whilst we perform your surgery.

I'm nervous of having surgery...

We are very aware that the idea of having surgery in your mouth can be stressful for people which is why we have worked hard to create as calm and relaxing environment at our clinic as possible. Our surgeons are very well experienced at keeping patients relaxed whilst they work. But we do also offer sedation for those patients who need something a little stronger to calm their nerves. DO I need to be referred to come and see you?

No you do not. Although we do see a lot of these types of soft tissue lumps referred to us by their dentist or GP, you do not need to be referred to come and see us. Our specialist surgeons can be accessed directly without the need for a referral from your dentist. To arrange a consultation please contact us and we would be happy to provide assistance.
