Mr Scott is a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial and Head & Neck Surgeon.
Mr Neil Scott graduated in Dental Surgery from the University of London with Distinction in 2003 and subsequently qualified in Medicine from the University of London with Honours in 2009. He completed higher surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in South Wales, obtaining the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FRCS (OMFS)) before being appointed as a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial and Head & Neck Surgeon in 2018.
For over two decades Mr Scott has developed extensive experience in complex head and neck surgery, including neck dissection, salivary gland surgery, facial skin cancer surgery, and local, regional and microvascular free flap reconstruction. His Consultant post focuses on the surgical management and reconstruction of conditions affecting the face, jaws, mouth and neck, with particular expertise in facial reconstruction following cancer surgery and trauma.
His facial aesthetic practice has evolved naturally from his consultant reconstructive career, applying the same detailed understanding of facial anatomy, meticulous tissue handling, and precise surgical technique to facial rejuvenation procedures performed under local anaesthetic. This approach enables him to deliver natural-looking results while maintaining the highest standards of surgical safety and patient care.
Alongside his reconstructive practice, Mr Scott has established a specialist facial aesthetic practice performed exclusively under local anaesthetic. His practice encompasses facial rejuvenation procedures, including upper and lower blepharoplasty, male blepharoplasty, brow lift, mini neck lift, and facial scar revision, alongside specialist facial surgery including facial skin lesion excision, skin cancer reconstruction, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) arthrocentesis, and zygomatic implant surgery. His approach is centred on achieving natural, balanced results while preserving facial character, function, and individual facial identity.
Mr Scott has a longstanding commitment to surgical education. He served as Co-Lead Convenor of the South Wales OMFS Cadaveric Workshop for five consecutive years, delivering advanced cadaveric head and neck dissection training to surgeons. This role reflects his detailed understanding of facial and cervical anatomy and his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of surgical education and patient care.
Internationally, Mr Scott is recognised for his work in combat sports medicine. He served as Head Office Medical Advisor and Chief Medical Officer to the British Boxing Board of Control from 2017 to 2025 and continues to act as Chief Medical Officer for major international professional boxing events, including Riyadh Season and World Heavyweight Championship contests. He is a member of the World Boxing Council (WBC) Medical Advisory Committee and advises boxing commissions and promoters on boxer safety, medical governance, and fitness to compete. He is the lead author of national guidance on head injuries and facial trauma in boxing and first author of the consensus publication, Elite and Professional Sports Facial Injuries Management, published in the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Mr Scott is accredited in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) and is an instructor in pre-hospital emergency care for BASICS.
Mr Scott's approach to facial aesthetic surgery is founded on the same principles that underpin his consultant reconstructive practice: meticulous surgical technique, detailed anatomical knowledge, careful patient selection, and evidence-based care. Every patient receives a comprehensive consultation and bespoke treatment plan, with an emphasis on achieving safe, natural, and long-lasting results.
